A heavy snowfall pulled over Trondheim - which will host the 2025 World Cup - and then Russia chose a fatal mistake. Instead of going on ruffled skis, Russia chose stickers.

Despite Alexander Bolshunov starting 34 seconds ahead of Pål Golberg, he was caught after just under four kilometers. Bolshunov had no slip whatsoever in the downhill slopes.

"The Russian skiers are freezing and they have made a wrong decision given that the snow continues to fall," says SVT Sports expert Anders Blomquist.

Shortly thereafter, Golberg went around Bolshunov and then only the distance grew. After 15 kilometers, the lead was over a minute. Golberg was completely unharmed and won the Ski Tour at home 1.23.51.

He finally won with 28.9 seconds ahead of compatriot Simen Hegstad Krüger and third was Hans Christer Holund. Norway took care of the first six places in the Ski Tour.

Alexander Bolshunov finished seventh when he was 1.41 after Golberg.

Jens Burman's best Swedish became three places and finished 16th in the summary.

- The sprints have done well otherwise it has been a heavy season, says Anders Blomquist.
