Johannes Thingnes Bö was the big king at the Östersund World Cup last year, with four gold and one silver.

Such a feat is not easy to repeat, and this year's World Cup in Antholz had not gone quite as well. Prior to today's World Cup finish, the men's mass start, he was actually outside of an individual gold and "only" had two relay golds.

Went and shot fast

But at the start of the mass he was completely superior. He was fast on the skis and rock-proof on the shooting range. He fired quickly, hitting all 20 shots.

Thus, he was able to deflect, after quickly and safely setting the last five shots. He could even afford to wave when he entered the stadium. When he crossed the finish line, he greeted the son he had with his wife Hedda in January, making a wavering gesture with his arms.

- He shoots four zeros, no one else does. And he goes fast so there is nothing for anyone else to do, says SVT Sports expert Helena Ekholm.

20 World Cup medals

He leaves the Antholz World Cup with a total of six medals, divided into three gold and three silver. In total, he now has 20 World Cup medals, ten of them gold.

The fight for the silver was basically just as dramatic, as Queitin Fillon Maillet was 42 seconds behind the gold medalist, and just over 10 seconds before the pursuit.

Pray cracked the spur

However, it was an exciting battle for the bronze, which was eventually taken by Emilien Jacquelin. He cracked Tarjei Bo in the sprint.

The Swedish riders had a heavy day. It was best for Jesper Nelin, who after four booms went into 19th place, three ahead of Peppe Femling.

- It's not good. Above all, it is the shooting that is really bad in several places, says Helena Ekholm.
