It had been an edge throughout Hanna Öberg's entire championship. A failed sprint. Four in the pursuit. Four in the favorite branch distance. A shot medal in the last standing in the baton. But now all that is forgotten. Now the 24-year-old finally got his long-awaited medal.

- It's amazing how she has been able to turn this around. I have suffered with her considering how incredibly close it has been to all competitions. For her, it is an enormous relief to be able to leave the championship with a medal. She just wanted it, says Tomas Öberg.

When it was to be decided in the last standing, the Swede fired two bombs. However, there was still hope when she and Polish Monika Hojnisz-Starega chased after Frenchman Julia Simon in the track. When she crashed, the bronze match was only about Öberg and Hojnisz-Starega.

- The Polish looked very strong and went faster than Hanna and I was afraid she would have to drop in the slopes. I was worried that it would be a new fourth place. But when Simon released, the Polish slowed down and Hanna got a good trip. Then it's just the brow bone, says Tomas Öberg.

After little sister Elvira Öberg's goal, the third stood in the mass start and waited. The TV cameras caught a long hug between the sisters.

- It's just fantastic. Joy and love for them. I am most proud of how both Hanna and Elvira have supported each other throughout the season. That's what is most fun as a parent, says Tomas Öberg.
