The professional football league decided to postpone two opening matches scheduled for next week in Daegu and Pohang.

This decision is based on the fact that Daegu and Gyeongbuk have been designated special management areas with the explosive increase of corona19 confirmers.

This is the first time that the K-League match has been postponed due to the spread of infectious diseases.

The K-League Opening Day will be held only in four places, including Jeonju, Ulsan, Incheon, and Gwangju on 29th and 1st of the following month.

[Hung Woong-soo / Professor General, Professional Football Federation: Considering the seriousness of the matter, I am contemplating convening an emergency board (to adjust the schedule) while watching the situation.]

Other events were hit by direct hits.

Regardless of the region, the women's professional basketball will be held indefinitely as of today (21st) and the men's basketball Asian Cup Thailand will be held in Seoul.

Professional baseball teams are also reviewing a spectator-free game. The second round of the Korean and Chinese Tokyo Olympic Women's Football Play-offs, which will be held on the 11th of next month, is also suffering from the proliferation of Corona19.
