SVT was in place in the sunshine at the starting point in Oxberg and the reporter slipped around on the icy and slippery ground. But despite alarming pictures from the track that wobble like a white snake in the largely snow-free nature, the organizer is optimistic.

- It's nice and not at all rock hard as everyone thinks and thinks. It was rock hard before we prepared. Now it's really nice in the tracks. I have been on the track several times this morning. It is coarse-grained snow and not at all icy. Everyone will be able to enjoy a wonderful skiing day, says Tommy Höglund to SVT.

Yesterday you said that you should take off your skis if it goes too fast?

- That you have turned to the media. I have said that it is permissible to remove the skis and that you are not disqualified. Most people will not even think of taking the skis off, but if anyone wants to do it, it's okay.

It has been raining in the area lately. What does the forecast for the big Vasa race look like next Sunday?

- It looks great. The rain that came last night came as snow-mixed rain or even snow on the marshes. It looks better and better for each day. We are doing fine pipes at the starting field in Sälen. There is also no "show-stopper" when it comes to Open Track, Högberg states.
