French commentator Alexandre Boyon of the publice service company France Television puts Duplantis in a context.
- What he does is fantastic. He is like Usain Bolt, who no longer competes. Now we have a guy on Sergei Bubka's level. He set two world records in one week and can set a third in eleven days tonight, Boyon says.
- Not even Bubka did such a thing and Duplantis is only 20 years old. It's absolutely fantastic, Boyon says. In the middle of the interview, Duplantis in his own high person came by and in a cocky way typical of a successful playful 20-year-old in the "zone" he looked into the camera and stretched out his tongue and smiled his infectious smile.

February 8: 6.17 in Torun. He touched the bar slightly on the way down.
February 15: 6.18 in Glasgow. He vented the bar with a few inches.
