The event takes place on a 1.5 km loop with a Woman and a Man. Each athlete with four passes to be taken on the launch pad: two prone shots, two standing shots, with three picks. The relays are carried out after each standing shot, at the exit of the launch pad. The last torchbearer makes a total of 7.5 km because after his second standing shot, he must make a final ski loop before crossing the line. The first torchbearer performs a total of 6 km.
