First, it was revealed that the fresh European champion in cross-country running Robel Fsiha had passed a positive doping test during training in Ethiopia. Then - just a few days ago - the news came that an SM medalist in athletics, who is not a Swedish citizen, has also passed a positive test.

The question is just how does a federation and a national team follow up and monitor Swedish individuals who train and compete all over the world?

"Looking at some of Ethiopia and Kenya"

Athletics' list of those suspended for gross doping offenses in January this year shows a clear draw to Africa, with Kenya outperforming one in ten cases, and Morocco as second in a list that lacks Swedish elements.

- It is clear that we are currently looking at some of Ethiopia and Kenya, and other environments where our runners are, to ensure that there are environments that do not have these types of problems, says Stefan Olsson to SVT Sport.
