Angels Otani pitching practice letting sit 17 balls February 20 14:01

On the 19th, Angels Shohei Otani, who is aiming to return from the right elbow surgery to the pitcher in the Major League, practiced throwing with his opponent sitting and throwing with a camp catch ball.

Otani had a right elbow surgery in October, so he focused on the batter last season and aiming to return in mid-May as a pitcher.

Otani has completed his rehabilitation as a pitcher by mid-December last year and is currently practicing to return to work in a camp in Arizona.

On the 19th, he practiced catching balls and other throws, throwing more than 100 balls at the camp this time, as well as having his opponent sit on the ground and throwing 17 balls including four curves from the set position.

Otani was checking the form while checking the footage shot between pitches.

Otani will continue these exercises in the future, and will start pitching with bullpen next month.

Mr. Otani said, "If you throw the ball with the mound in mind, the release feeling of releasing the ball will be different, so I'd like to adjust that part in the future."
