As Corona Virus Infection-19 (Corona 19) spreads to local communities, the Korean Physical Education Association prepared emergency measures.

The Korea Sports Association, which has already blocked access from outside the Jincheon athletes' village of Chungbuk, will not allow the national team athletes to train out of the village in the future.

An official from the Korea Sports Council said, "We are discussing the provisional suspension of out-of-town training because the athlete's village can be shut down if an infected person comes out of the Tokyo Olympics with only five months left."

Currently, some sports, including five modern sports, are being trained outside the Jincheon athletes' village, and other sports are also planning to conduct out-of-town training soon.

When the Corona 19 incident occurred, the Korea Sports Association installed a heat detector at the entrance gate of Chungcheon Athlete's Village in Chungbuk last month to check the heat generated by all personnel and strictly control outsiders.

It also temporarily does not allow media companies to cover athletes ahead of the Olympics.
