On December 30, Richard Gynge was the last to score. Since then, there have only been four assists and the playing time has dropped for the player who scored 44 points in 46 games last time he played in Sweden and Växjö.

Hammarby-bred Gynge has suffered an upper body injury during the season, which has hampered him.

"I'm in pain every time I have the puck," he told the Småland Post at the end of January.

In the meeting with HV71, Gynge found right after just over seven minutes of play, his first full hit in 2020. Växjö continued to steam and won the shots in the first period by 12-4.

Växjö went 3-1 and two minutes before the final signal of the second period Gynge sent in his second goal of the match, his eighth for the season.

Växjö, who lost four straight games and only managed to score two goals, now have two straight wins where they have scored ten goals in total.

- It was really nice. We have worked hard but have not gotten much of it. Today we have fun out there.
