Hanna Öberg did not have an optimal starting position at the start of the hunt. With 57 seconds up to Röiseland, it was not a simple challenge to face the door, but she almost succeeded. Because in the track she was nervous, and went much faster than the Norwegian. But despite the ride and that she only shot two beams while Denise Herrman in second place and Röiseland in third place shot three beams each, she could not catch the whole distance. And Öberg's efforts were so good that if it had been a mass start, only Wierer would have managed to beat her.

In the finish, Öberg was 22.3 seconds after winning Dorothea Wierer, and 8.5 seconds after Röiseland in third place.
