The election committee of the Football Association approved, during its meeting today, at the Federation’s headquarters in Dubai, the names of three new candidates for membership of the Football Association: Ibrahim Suleiman Al Hammadi, Salem Abdullah Al Shamsi and Khalfan Juma Balhoul, as part of the names nominated by the President of the Federation for the elections that will be held on March 12 For the elections of a new board of directors for the new electoral cycle 2020-2024, while 13 other candidates, including 7 from professional clubs and 6 from first-class clubs, are competing to occupy eight seats in the membership of the board of directors, which will be contrary to the position of the president of the federation, from 11 members, including five representing clubs League League Two luxury and three represent first-class clubs and three others are nominated by the President of the Federation.

During its meeting, the committee also examined the forms of 14 candidates for membership of the Board of Directors after the closing of the candidacy door at five o'clock in the evening last Thursday and the committee approved their nominations, namely: Hisham Muhammad Al Zarouni (Sharjah Club) Salem Ali Al Shamsi (Al Ain Club) Saif Majid Al Mansouri (Al Dhafra Club) Youssef Hussein Al-Sahlawi (Al-Hamriyah Club) Jumaa Hamdan Al-Abdouli (Dibba Club) Amal Hassan Bou Shalakh (Ras Al-Khaimah Club) Saeed Ahmed Rabbaa (Al-Taawun Club) Ali Hamad Al-Badawi (Hatta Club) Hamid Ahmed Al-Tayer (Al-Nasr Club) Amer Hussain Al-Sayari (Al-Wehda Club) Abdullah Saeed Al-Kaabi (Masfoot Club) Fahd Ismail Al-Hosani (Club Bin Yas Yas) Ahmed Youssef Darwish (Emirates Club).

According to the approved timetable for the electoral process, the deadline for receiving and resolving appeals will be next Thursday, provided that the deadline for selecting the presidential candidate for his final list will be on the 27th of this month.
