Yesterday, the 20th edition of the Dubai International Duty Free Tennis Championship for women, kicked off, through the preliminary round, after the drawing of lots in the presence of the most prominent tennis stars in the world. The tournament will witness the participation of six of the first ranked works in the world, and 12 out of the list of the first 20, along with the stars of brilliance in the recent period, similar to the Tunisian Anas Jaber. The tournament also features the participation of Dubai champion in 2017 and 2018, and the fourth seed, Ukrainian Elena Svetolina, through an invitation card. Svetulina seeks to regain her title lost in the 2019 final, in the interest of world number five champion Belinda Bennich, as Svetolina failed to retain her title for the third year in a row, in an unprecedented achievement in the women's championship. As well as aspiring world number two, Romanian Simona Halep, to return to the titles of «Dubai Tennis», after achieving her only title in the 2015 edition, but the task seems difficult in light of the strong presence of a group of distinguished players, similar to the seventh world number, American Sofia Sofia Last month, she was crowned the Australian Open, the first of the Grand Slam's four grand slams in the new season.
