Angels Otani Entering the camp Start aiming for the double sword style of batting February 13 6:15

Angels of the Major League, Angels Shohei Otani, entered the camp in Arizona on the 12th and returned to the pitcher after surgery on the right elbow, starting the season aiming for a double sword style.

The battery camp for Angels began in Tempe, Arizona on the 12th, and Otani started his third season.

Otani assumed that he was in the first year of the Major League and underwent surgery on his right elbow, so he was only a batter last season, but this season he will return with a pitcher and aim for a double sword style again.

From the first day of the camp, Otani practiced with a different menu, and after warming up, hit 35 balls in tee batting and hit 20 balls against the machine.

On the other hand, in pitcher practice, he caught a ball at a maximum distance of about 40 meters and threw 40 balls.

From the set position at a distance of about 20 meters, he threw 10 slightly accelerated fastballs, and from the first day he worked on training to return to the dual sword style.

Angels' team managers are aiming for mid-May, just over a month after the opening of Otani's pitcher, and will gradually increase the intensity of pitching practice at the camp.

Ohtani also had a slight delay in adjusting his batting due to his left knee surgery in September last year. First, he will make adjustments to the batter in preparation for the opening from the end of March.
