Al-Wahda came out with the least losses in their match against Al-Ahly Saudi Arabia, in the opening of the first group matches of the AFC Champions League, the day before yesterday, and managed to seize a precious point by drawing 1-1 in the last minute of the match time.

Al-Annabi did not succeed in taking advantage of his preference in most of the match to win the three points, after his players competed in wasting the easy opportunities, which were capable of adjusting the result.

Al-Wahda suffered from Al-Safirah errors, which did not count for him a goal scored by Tigali in the 18th minute, as the TV replay proved that Al-Annabi did not come into contact with Al-Ahly defender in the game, due to which the Omani referee, Ahmed Al-Kaf, canceled the goal, as he explained the impact of the goalkeeper Yasser Al-Muslim with Defender Mohamed Al-Fateel.

Al-Wahda coach, Spain's Manuel Jimenez, commented on the arbitration decisions, saying that "the unit was wronged by the beep, and if the video (mouse) technology was in place, we would be able to harvest the full score of the match."

He added, "(The mouse) is used in local patrols, so why was it not present in the continental championship?"

He pointed out: "Tigali scored a legitimate goal, but the referee did not count him, although the goalkeeper collided with his defender colleague, and the most prominent case is that Al-Ahly defender touched the ball with his hand inside the region, which is worthy of expulsion and a penalty, as there was a strong intervention against Ismail Matar, it was Al Ahly players deserve more than a yellow card.

He added: "I do not understand why the Al-Ahly goalkeeper was not expelled because of the ball he touched with his hand outside the box, and the game was on its way to Tegali to reach the goal, I imagine that the text of the law is clear in that accountability."

Al-Wahda coach added: "I understand that the decisions of the referee without video technology have certainly become more difficult, after we became heavily dependent on them in football, but in the end it can be said that the result is fair if we put those mistakes aside."

Jimenez praised the performance of his players, especially team captain Ismail Matar, stressing that everyone has done what he needs and the results remain at times dependent on luck and the intervention of some external factors such as arbitration.

Reem: Coming up with a point better than nothing

Alwahda defender, South Korean Zhang Woo Rim, said that breaking parity is much better than nothing.

He added: "We made a great effort to win, and we did what we needed against a strong team. We were sure to win and were not lucky. The other match in our group proved that the competition will be difficult for everyone."

The AFC chose Zhang Woo Rim as the man for the match, after he managed to score the equalizer in the last minute.
