The whole world was turned off in the arena and the Los Angeles Lakers T-shirts with the 8th and 24th numbers, under which Bryant played throughout his career, were hung on the big screen.

After nine seconds of silence, which symbolized the number of victims of the disaster, the athlete's name began to be chanted in the hall.

The helicopter crash that killed 41-year-old Bryant, his 13-year-old daughter Gianna and seven more people occurred on January 26 in the vicinity of Los Angeles.

Bryant played for the Lakers from 1996 to 2016 and won five NBA championship titles with the team. He is the leader of the club throughout history in terms of the number of matches played, points scored and interceptions completed.

Earlier, LeBron James repeated the dunk of the deceased Bryant 19 years ago.
