A positive a-test was followed by a b-test with the same message. For Jenny Fransson, whose doping test showed traces of the anabolic steroid methyltestosterone, it means she must not compete in the European Championships, which will be decided in Rome, Italy, the week to come, or in the Tokyo Summer Olympics.

How long the suspension awaits for the 32-year-old is being investigated by the National Sports Federation's doping commission.

The case of doping-suspended Fransson obviously causes the wrestling championships in Italy to come into focus - though for the wrong reason.

But Alex Kessidis, with the World Cup silver and bronze in the European Games last year and one of Sweden's medal jumps at the Olympics this summer, hopes to be able to turn on reporting around the sport.

The approach will be to focus on what he himself can have an effect on.

- It's boring, of course, but it doesn't affect my training or my investment in any way, he says.

- I focus on the European Championships and there we make sure to change what's in the newspapers. It should be more positive.

Focus on success

The 24-year-old's plan is to achieve what he is constantly struggling and struggling for: success.

In the wrestling arena Pala Pellicone, therefore, he only has gold in sight when the 77-kilo class starts on Monday.

At the same time, it is only a small step on the road to what is happening in Japan from July 24 to August 9.

- My biggest focus is the Olympics, it's every four years and I can't focus on other things. But I will not go here and do not care. Because it is clear that I care, I want a medal, he says.

- I want to win. I want to win European Championship, World Cup gold and Olympic gold. It is not enough just to take the Olympics. Now I have the European Championship in front of me, and it is important to take the opportunity right away. I'm going to try to do my thing, and I think the European Championships can be damn good.

"Not completely crushed"

TT: How important is it to get a good message before the Olympics?

- I get "really boosted" by winning, I just rise. Winning European gold had made me feel as powerful as possible. Then nothing could stop me, says Alex Kessidis.

- But even though I would lose, I do not feel: "God, what a shame, I am going to the Olympics and went out in the first match of the European Championships". There I have a good balance. I will not be completely shattered if it does not go as I please.
