After an even first period, which ended 0-0, it was the Czech Republic that took the lead in the middle of the second period.

But Sweden got a taste of the third period and acknowledged through Johanna Fällman. 1-1, the period stood out and the match went to extension.

Punishment drama decided

An extension that became speechless and the match was decided on penalties.

In the penalty decision, it was the Czech Republic that drew the longer straw. The match was decided by Natalie Mlynkova who set the decisive penalty.

May hope in Russia

On Saturday, placement matches await in the playoffs of the Euro Hockey Tour. The group teams play final, the group two matches for third place and the group three matches for fifth place.

With tonight's penalty loss, Sweden now stands at four points in the group. The Czech Republic and Russia have only played one match and stand on one and two points respectively. Tomorrow, Friday, they meet in the last group game match. At a Russian win, Sweden wins the group and plays final on Saturday.
