Jenny Fransson is one of the major Swedish medalists in the Tokyo Olympics later this year.
But now the 32-year-old has given a positive α-doping test, and it should be a very small amount of the illicit substance methyltestosterone, an anabolic steroid.

Fransson is suspended pending the b-test result and thus misses the European Championships in Rome which starts next week.

Now Jenny Fransson says on Instagram.

“On Thursday my whole life collapsed. Everything I fought for and everything I stand for. Who I am and who I want to become , ”Jenny Fransson writes in the post.

She writes further:
“Something that I never even thought could happen to me has now happened and right now I feel more dead than alive. But I try to take one day at a time and not forget who I am and what I am worth ... "

Yesterday Peter Reinebo, Head of Operations for Sweden Olympic Committee, told SVT Sport:

- During the next week we will be told partly about the b-test and partly we may get some other answers about methods of analysis and the probable cause of this doping offense.
