Yesterday, at the Federation headquarters in Dubai, the Football Association Competitions Committee held its periodic meeting, chaired by Hamid Al Tayer, a member of the Transitional Committee.
The committee has identified the neutral stadiums hosting the matches of the President’s Cup for the 2019-2020 sports season, where the Bani Yas and Al-Ahly Youth match will be held at Khalifa Bin Zayed Stadium in Al Ain on Friday, February 21 at 17:30, and will host the Bani Yas Stadium in Shamkha in The same day, Al Dhafra and Al Jazeera match will be held at 20:30, while Al Ain and Al Wasl match will be held at Al Nahyan Stadium in Al Wahda Club on Saturday, 22nd of November at 17:30, provided that the match of the Union of Kalba and Sharjah will be held on the same day in the Emirates Club Stadium in Ras Al Khaimah at 20:00 : 30.
The choice of the timing of the matches came from the committee’s keenness to ensure the public presence of the qualifying clubs, especially as the matches will be played in neutral stadiums.
The meeting was attended by Dr. Muhammad Saeed Al-Hattawi, Vice-Chairman of the Committee, and members of the Committee: Jumah Al-Abdouli, Hamad Al-Shabibi and Yahya Al-Matroushi, in addition to the Director of Competitions Department, Rapporteur of the Committee Ayman Haroun, Head of Competitions Muhammad Al-Naqbi, and Competition Advisor Mr. Abu Al-Naga.
