FIFA Chairman Gianni Infantino believes that Qatar will be ready to host the World Cup two years before the most prominent event in the game.

Infantino also praised Qatar for its preparations to host the 2022 World Cup, which is being held for the first time in the Middle East, three years before the start of the tournament.

"Qatar will be fully ready two years before the World Cup, which is a record time that none of the countries that have hosted the World Cup before have accomplished it," Infantino said on the sidelines of the International Federation of Sports Press awards ceremony in the Hungarian capital Budapest.

He added, "I trust that it will be an amazing event in every sense of the word, as it will constitute a change in the rules of the game, and the fans who will go to Qatar will see that we are not biased in hosting this event, which would change everyone's view of the Arab countries, we Europeans, for example. Sometimes we judge some things before we see them. "

He explained, "In terms of stadiums, installations and infrastructure, things are going as best as possible, and we expect it to be a very impressive tournament for the Gulf region and for all Arab countries without exception."

Infantino congratulated the Sports Media Committee and Qatar for its important partnership with the International Federation of Sports Journalism and for sponsoring the annual awards ceremony for the International Federation for the second year in a row.
