• Derbi: Zidane's coup of authority with Bale

The agent of Gareth Bale, Jonathan Barnett , has assured that the Welsh striker is "happy" in Real Madrid and that he will fulfill the two and a half seasons of contract he has signed by the white club.

Barnett declined to clarify whether Tottenham president Daniel Levy traveled to Madrid during the recent winter market to try to sign Bale. "Levy may visit Madrid, but I am not the one who should say if he did. Gareth is very happy in Madrid," he said in statements to the British radio 'Talk Sport' collected by Europa Press.

In this regard, he ruled out a possible return to his former club in the short term. "I don't think so, no. Gareth is in a very lucky position . Hopefully, when he finishes his contract (in June 2022), he will sit with me and his family and decide what he wants to do," he said.

The agent also asked to be "realistic" when analyzing Bale's situation, in the sense that "for most clubs he is financially out of his league." "It's very good to talk about giving up money and go play somewhere else, but it's not just about money. It's about your lifestyle and your children, who have grown up in Madrid," he recalled.
