Just over a week ago, Los Angeles Lakers legend Kobe Bryant was killed in a helicopter crash.

Yesterday, the Lakers played the team's first match since the accident, and it lost by 119-127.

James match winner

But tonight was a victory for the Lakers. The team won with 129–113 away against the Sacramento Kings. Big match winner was LeBron James, who stood for a so-called "triple-double", that is two-digit in three different categories. He scored 15 points, 11 assists and made ten rebounds. It was his eleventh triple-double for the season, and his 92nd in his career.

Even during this match, Kobe Bryant and daughter Gianna (who also died in the accident) were honored. During the first timeout of the match - less than four minutes into the match - a video was shown showing both playing basketball. When viewed, people from both teams looked on. Bryant's jersey numbers (8 and 24) appeared on the pitch, while his voice was heard in the arena.

The name was scanned

Bryant was also honored at the stands as many spectators wore sweaters with his name on. In addition, his name was scanned many times during the match.

Even outside the arena it was emotional. A memorial wall, with pictures of Kobe and Gianna Bryant, had been set up, where the fans left messages and flowers.
