The coastal club Tunis and Al-Ahly of Egypt qualified for the quarter-finals of the CAF Champions League, after finishing first and second in the group in the second group of the championship.

Al-Ahly tied with its Sudanese host Al-Hilal 1-1, while the coastal star defeated its Zimbabwe champion Platinum 2-0 on Saturday in the last round of Group Two.
