When Roger Federer, who is known as a gentleman on the track, became frustrated in the match against American Tennys Sandgren, he called out some less well-chosen words.

They were not heard very well, except by the line judge - who gossiped before the chief judge.

"A little frustrated ..."

Federer, to his great surprise, received a warning from the judge.

- It is natural to feel a little frustrated after 15 hours out on the track. I'm not known for screaming things, so I thought it felt pretty hard. But I have to accept it, he said at the press conference after the match.

Won the game

Now he is being further punished. He is being fined $ 3,000 (just under SEK 29,000) for his crimes, reports the news agency AP.

Despite the outburst, Federer won the game, after a nearly miraculous turn, in which he saved no less than seven match balls in the fourth set.

He does not learn to overpay the fine. By reaching the semi-finals, Federer has already recorded just over SEK 3.4 million.
