Mitchel Bakker made his official debut for Paris Saint-Germain on Wednesday. The nineteen year old left back played briefly in the duel with Pau (0-2) in the eighth finals of the Coupe de France.
Bakker came in against the third divisionist in the 72nd minute for Colin Dagba. The final score was already on the scoreboard by goals from Leandro Paredes and Pablo Sarabia.
The youth international came over transfer-free from Ajax last summer, where he did not want to extend his contract because he felt that he had too few chances from trainer Erik ten Hag.
In preparation for this season, Bakker participated a few times in exhibition games of the first team of 'PSG', but until Wednesday he was only one time in the selection of the games.
Lille was surprisingly eliminated in the Coupe de France on Wednesday. Ajax's opponents in the Champions League scoffed at the fourth divisionist SAS Épinal: 2-1.
