The International Tennis Federation, ITF, announces that the Fed Cup group game that was to be played in Dongguan February 4-8 will be moved to Astana in Kazakhstan. Participating teams are China, Taiwan, India, Indonesia, South Korea and Uzbekistan.

"The decision to move the event to another location was made due to increased travel restrictions in China at present and followed consultations with independent security advisers," the ITF writes in a press release.

Bus traffic strangled to Beijing

During the day all bus traffic from regional provinces to the capital Beijing was stopped.

The Foreign Ministry now advises Swedes not to travel to certain places in China.

Earlier this week, the IOK set the Olympic qualifier in boxing that would take place in Wuhan, the epicenter of the outbreak, next month.

The Asian Football Association, AFC, has moved Olympic qualifying matches for Australia, Taiwan, Thailand and China from Nanjing (host of the mid-March athletics championships) to Sydney.

According to official data from China on Sunday, 56 people have died in the virus and nearly 2000 have been infected.
