And another podium for Clément Noël. The French skier, winner in Zagreb and Wengen in January, snatched 3rd place in the legendary Kitzbühel slalom on Sunday. Despite a fault in the first run (9th), and another huge error on the second course, Noël grabbed his 9th podium in the World Cup, at only 22 years old. In the specialty classification, he was 3rd, 52 points from Kristoffersen and 35 points from Daniel Yule, the winner of the day.
Alexis Pinturault, on the other hand, went through. Ideally placed after the first round (5th), he straddled in the second and still lost precious points for the general classification of the World Cup. This is the second time in a row that this has happened to him in slalom, after Wengen last Sunday.
