Retired American basketball star Kobe Bryant died in a private helicopter crash in Calabasas, California, on Sunday.

Bryant, 41, was traveling with three people in his private helicopter when everyone crashed and died, according to TMZ.

The sports association's official account said that Bryant, a former Los Angeles Lakers player, died after his helicopter crashed on a trip.

Bryant is among the most registered in the NBA basketball, scoring 33,643 points over 20 years with the Los Angeles Lakers.

Legend Bryant won the professional league title five times, in addition to two gold medals with his country, alongside James at the 2008 Olympic Games in Beijing and 2012 in London.
