After the classic part, Jens Burman was in 23 place, 59.5 seconds after Bolshunov. But as the riders at the top slowed down the pace, Burman could crawl closer. After 22.5 kilometers, he had shrunk the distance to 37.9 seconds and at the second last time the distance was just over 20 seconds. But when the pace was screwed up, Burman lost again, finishing in 16th place. He was 46.5 seconds behind the winner Alexander Bolshunov who sprinted home the victory ahead of Simen Hegstad Krüger and Sjur Röthe.

Behind Burman was Daniel Richardsson who finished in 19th place and he was 2.19 after Bolshunov. Johan Häggström was over 39 minutes after three minutes.

- It really points in the wrong direction. We'll see how the skis have gone. But the performance is far from approved. Totally okay race by Burman as an individual, but as a Swedish team it is bad, says SVT Sports expert Anders Blomquist.

Bad skiing

After the race, Jens Burman told him he had bad skis.

- It was the classic part that totally ruined the race. I had no attachment the last two laps, it was bad, says Jens Burman to SVT Sport.

Were the skis especially bad?

- On the classic part it was the skis. But on the skate I was fucking nervous, but then it was already run. You can't do that much.

- I think it's damn boring when you feel pretty good. I don't want to be this far down when I felt more excited. It's boring.

What do you think about the team's efforts so far this season?

- It's too bad. The explanation for me today is the classic part. What it was like for the others they had to answer.
