He is already historical with his five golds in the big air X-games where no one succeeded better in that competition form. Add five silver medals and one more gold medal and Henrik Harlaut, with his eleven medals, is the foremost skier in the history of the competition. The 28-year-old Swede broke Tanner Hall's record when he took silver during the X-games in Norway last year.

American winner

Right now, X-games in Aspen is going on and tonight, Harlaut was one of the participants in the so-called knucklehuck competition. In the branch that is new this year, the skiers skip the big air jump and use only the tuber on the landing section to do the trick.

Harlaut succeeded really well and finished in second place in the competition behind Colby Stevenson from the USA. The debutant managed slightly better in his ride and was honored with gold. Harlaut on the other hand was without silver. Apparently, it was already decided before the competition that only medals would be awarded to the winner and thus Harlaut still stands on eleven medals in total.

- They have some branches that are more like jippo competitions and then usually only one was awarded a medal. Nor are there as many competitors as the other branches because they do not run any qualifiers, says SVT's expert Oscar Harlaut, who is also big brother to Henrik.

After all, Sweden's chances of becoming historical are not gone. New competitions await in Aspen and in the qualification in big air Halraut finished in fourth place. Jesper Tjäder finished eight. The finals decide early Saturday morning Swedish time.
