Karlsson went for four match balls and 10-6 and decided on the first one, until 11-6. Karlsson stretched his arms in the sky and went away to his teammates (Anton Källberg was also replaced) and celebrated the victory in the sparsely occupied hall of Multiusos de Gondomar.

In addition to a team, Sweden will have two singles places in Tokyo thanks to tonight's victory.

In the first single, World Cup two Mattias Falck had some problems with Bence Majoros but won by 3-1. Hungarian took the first set and had picked up 6-10 to 9-10 in the fourth set when Sweden and the league captain Jörgen Persson took a timeout. In the fourth match ball, Majoros got a perfectly hard looped forehand far out on Falck's forehand side. The Swede evicted the racket and blocked the ball perfectly out of reach of the Hunger, 11-9, and a magnificent finish of the match. Then Sweden led 2-0.

The sharp double pair Karlsson and Falck made the process short with Adam Szudi / Nandor Ecseki and won with 3-0. When the kids started to crack in and got as close as 7-9 in the third set, Sweden took a timeout and Jörgen Persson had to give directives. Kristian Karlsson decided the match with a hard backhand in the middle of the table.
