FC Utrecht won ADO Den Haag without any problems on Friday: 4-0. The residents of The Hague thus suffered their first defeat under the new trainer Alan Pardew.
The returned Kristoffer Peterson, Sean Klaiber (two) and Gyrano Kerk scored the goals for FC Utrecht, which never ran into problems in Galgenwaard Stadium. In injury time, John Goossens missed another penalty for ADO.
The team of coach John van den Brom occupies seventh place in the Eredivisie and comes in points equal to number six Vitesse. ADO occupies seventeenth place, which means direct relegation at the end of the season.
The English manager Pardew started his job in The Hague last week with a 2-0 win over the closing runner RKC Waalwijk. With Tudor Baluta, George Thomas, Laurens De Bock and Sam Stubbs, four ADO winter gains were in the starting line-up, but they couldn't prevent the team from losing out.

Peterson scores already after fourteen minutes on return
Peterson, who was taken over by Swansea City from Utrecht on a rental basis on Monday, took just 14 minutes to score on his return. After losing the ball in his own half, ADO's defense was out of position and Urby Emanuelson was able to put the Swedish attacker into scoring position with a cross pass: 1-0.
The goal of the 25-year-old attacker was the only goal attempt between the posts of both teams in the first half. Peterson was right next to the most threatening man with a curled shot and a bet that could just be blocked by ADO defender Laurens De Bock.

For the first time since September, Sweet keeps zero in the Eredivisie
Shortly after half time Klaiber doubled the margin with a long shot, with goalkeeper Luuk Koopmans of ADO not looking well.
Just like ADO, Utrecht did not create many opportunities, but the home team did handle them carefully. With a pass from substitute Jean-Christophe Bahebeck, Kerk was ahead of ADO defense and hit hard in the far corner: 3-0.
Klaiber made his second of the evening in the final phase. The right back outsmarted Koopmans with a pin from a difficult corner. Bahebeck then hit the post with a free kick.
Utrecht barely gave anything away in the back and goalkeeper Jeroen Zoet kept the zero in the Eredivisie for the first time since the end of September, when he won 0-4 against PEC Zwolle with PSV. Deep in injury time, ADO received another penalty after Lex Imemrs was detained, but Zoet turned Goossens' bet.
