Luleå came to Borås with five straight wins but the home team got a head start early in the match and led 45-32 at halftime. Villiam Gutenius dominated with 14 points before the break and Luleå had difficulty with the game under the baskets and lost in the return.

The last two periods, Borås could quite easily monitor their lead and eventually won by 84-72

- We make too many mistakes defensively which means they get the ten-point lead. And then they feel good and are safe, says Luleå's coach Peter Öqvist.

Five straight wins

Borås now has five straight victories and may be in a better position than ever to take their first SM gold later this spring.

- We have never won SM gold, only been in a final, says Borås coach Henrik Svensson. We have no national team players. We have young Americans from small schools. We really are the little underdog who has to fight all the way to disturb the others. But I'm very happy with the match today.

The series two Köping lost in their match against Nässjö by 86-84 and Borås therefore made a snap in the table and lead by six points.
