Aliyev received 184.44 points for a free program. The total result was 272.89. Both results are record-breaking in a skater's career.
The second place was taken by another Russian Arthur Danielyan (246.74). Maurice Kvitelashvili, representative of Georgia, closed the top three winners (246.71).
Alexander Samarin took tenth place with a total of 220.43 points.
Earlier it was reported that Danielyan fell on the triple lutz in the free program, but guaranteed himself a European Championship medal.
