Frenchman Mathieu Herbaut, alias "Zywoo", was voted best player in the world on Counter Strike: Global Offensive , according to the ranking published on Monday by the specialized site HLTV. He won this title in front of the Danish Nicolai "device" (3rd) Reedtz and the Ukrainian Oleksandr "s1mple" Kostyliev (2nd).

Zywoo is the first Frenchman to be awarded this award, a video game equivalent to the Ballon d'Or of France Football . At 19, he also became the youngest player in the world to win this esports title, and the first to be crowned after his first year at the professional level.
