Last Saturday was a night-black day for the Swedish lords. Best was Daniel Richardsson in 26th place and after the race SVT Sports expert Mathias Fredriksson was critical of the Swedish whaling team.

Jens Burman, who turned 29, confirmed that the skis were not on top.

- It was heavy today. I felt good, but if you have no good things under your feet, it is difficult to make good races, he told SVT Sport.

This summer, several changes took place in the whaling team. Among other things, the election manager Urban Nilsson quit and during the summer months - which is an important test period - the national team stood without the elephant manager. Only at the end of August did it become clear that Anders Niemi was taking over.

- We also have three new grasshoppers. They have started to come into work more and more, and there are small steps all the time for the better, says Niemi.

Missed too much

Mathias Fredriksson developed his criticism in the Winter Studio on Sunday.

- Many months were lost with important work. Above all, summer is a time when you pick out skis. Now it started quite late when the election manager finished in August, and that is not desirable, says Fredriksson and continues:

- Then there has been no disaster. But I think the wall team missed a few times too much. In sprint it has been good, but it is mainly in the distance that you missed a few times too much.

That the new wall team would have performed worse than in previous years does not agree with the election manager Anders Niemi.

- I think we have maintained a high level that we have done in recent years with a high low level and some peaks as well, he says.
