Swedish-Dutch Chardine Sloof emerged in the World Cup as a hidden 2017 in which she struck with a tenth place in the sprint in the Oberhof.

Since then, the past few years have been characterized by injury problems, such as a knee injury and now the most recent disc herniation. This led to her being dismissed from the biathlon team this spring.

In November she took the SM gold in the women's short distance in Idre.

Already the 27-year-old announces that she is leaving after the season.

“With a lovely picture as a memory from this season, where I for the first time became Swedish champion (as a senior), I hereby announce that I will leave after the season. The SM at the end of March will be my last race as a professional practitioner, ”she writes on Instagram.
