Boxing legend Floyd Mayweather expressed his interest in setting up a second fight with mixed sports sports champion Conor McGregor this year, after the latter's successful return from retirement and his victory in just forty seconds over Donald Cerrone, on Sunday.

This is the first win for MacGregor since 2016 when he beat Alvarez, and the first match he fought after 15 months after his retirement after his defeat against world champion Habib Nur Mammadov.

It appears that the rapid victory and the imaginative profits achieved by McGregor by defeating Serone and, according to his statements, amounted to about eighty million dollars, which inflamed his enthusiasm again, as he revealed that he would be active in the game this year, and also revealed his desire to return to the boxing arena to face the American legend.

McGregor made no secret of his desire to face Mayweather in a second fight, confirming that he was able to make up for his defeat in the first match that took place between them in 2017, and alluded to the American boxer to repeat the fight this year.

He had previously revealed that he was in talks with boxing champion Manny Pacquiao, and that he was training under the supervision of a boxing expert, confirming that he could now beat Mayweather 50-0.

Dana White, president of the World Mixed Sports Federation, said he had held talks with Mayweather "and there are joint plans between them to organize an event between them this year."

Mayweather confirmed in November that he would return from retiring to participate in a "stunning event" in 2020 coordinated with White, but that the upcoming match had not yet been officially revealed by both sides.
