He loves it, the Wengen slalom. Already the winner last year in Switzerland, Clément Noël did it again on Sunday by winning the race counting for the Alpine Skiing World Cup by beating the Norwegian Henrik Kristoffersen by almost half a second and the Russian Alexander Khoroshilov.

This is the fifth success in the World Cup, the second of the season, for the 22-year-old skier, a slalom specialist. Bad news, however, for Frenchman Alexis Pinturault, who lost his head in the general classification of the World Cup after having straddled during the second round. He now has 78 points less than Kristoffersen.
