Sandra Näslund once again proved that she is the world's best ski cross country skier on the women's side.

Prior to tonight's competition in Canadian Nakiska, she led the World Cup with 37 points ahead of Swiss Fanny Smith.

Led all the way

Now she is expanding that distance further. She took the second win of the season (the first came in Val Thorens in December), after an impressive final year.

She took the lead right at the start, and then kept it all the way into goal. Two were Brittany Phelan and third Fanny Smith.

- Very strong Sandra, what a ride, SVT Sports expert Lars Lewén exclaimed after the victory.

"Really fast"

For Näslund, it was the second World Cup victory in Nakiska. She also won there two years ago.

- I like this track. It's really fast and something happens all the time, so I really like it, she said in the official victory interview.

For the second Swedish of the competition, Alexandra Edebo, it finished with a sixth place. On the men's side, Viktor Andersson and David Mobärg were eliminated in the quarterfinals.
