A cold meant that Ebba Andersson was forced to stand over the final stage of the Tour de Ski. Now, almost two weeks later, she tells SVT Sport how hard it was.

- It was very sad. I felt abandoned and it was frustrating not being able to take on the final climb and really tie the bag together after the tour I had done so far, she says, and continues:

- It wasn't that I wanted to end the tour.

"Be pretty less"

She was so sorry that she first thought of not watching the final stage.

- My first thought was, "Why should I see this?" I was rather unaware of the situation and how it became. Then my thought was, "I'll see this, to be mentally tough on myself," she says, adding:

- So I tormented myself through the last stage. But it wasn't fun, because I'd love to be on the starting line.

Back in the national team

However, she hopes for new opportunities in the future.

- I may try to revamp it in upcoming tours, because I do not think this will be my first and last.

Now she is back in the national team. She has been training for about a week, but is a little unsure how good the shape is.

- I hope the body will respond well. But it will not be until tomorrow that you receive a form message. Although it has been good to train, it is a bit different to be on the starting line, she says.
