ADO Den Haag struck the transfer market again on Friday. The struggling Premier League player hires midfielder Tudor Baluta for the remainder of the Brighton & Hove Albion season.

Twenty-year-old Baluta has been under contract with Premier League club Brighton since January 2019, who first let him out for six months to the Romanian Viitorul Constanta. He only played one more time for 'The Seagulls': in the League Cup game with Aston Villa (1-3 loss) in September.

Baluta made his debut in October 2018 at the age of nineteen in the Romanian national team and now has seven international matches to his name. In the last games, the defending midfielder was given a base place by the Eastern Europeans, who still have a chance to participate in the European Championship next summer.

"I am ready to give everything for ADO, so that the club can continue to play in the Eredivisie," says Baluta on the club's site. "I'm really looking forward to working with my new colleagues and can't wait to show the fans what I have in store."

ADO active on the transfer market

Baluta is already the fifth reinforcement of ADO The Hague in this transfer period. The club from the royal city, who at the end of December appointed the Englishman Alan Pardew as a trainer, previously recorded Sam Stubbs, Laurens De Bock, George Thomas and Mick van Buren.

With the many reinforcements, ADO hopes to safeguard personal preservation in the Eredivisie in the second half of the season. The people of The Hague last won a competition at the end of October and are in relegation worries.

ADO, which is now in seventeenth place, will resume the competition on Sunday with the important home game against the last-minute runner RKC Waalwijk (kick-off at 4.45 pm). The people from Brabant have two points less.
