Michael Lindqvist misses the rest of the season

It was in the away game during the second day against Rögle that the accident occurred. Lindqvist fell, slipped into the goal cage and hit the knee that now needs surgery.

"He has an isolated cruciate ligament injury," says Mattias Hell, responsible for Färjestad's medical team, to the club's website.

Michael Lindqvist is third in SHL's goal with 13 goals despite already missing the number of matches. The target sprinter has also played three matches in Tre Kronor during the season.

- It's just like the situation, the surgery, the rehab training to be ready when the next season starts. Terribly boring it all. I don't really know what else to say about it. It is as it is, says Lindqvist.
