The county team has had a policy of not allowing juniors to go to the World Cup before the junior World Cup has taken place, something that has previously affected Frida Karlsson.
Junior William Poromaa, 19, was stopped last year but is now selected for the squad competing in the Nove Mesto incoming weekend.
- Actually, it's a little special situation because JVM is running so late this year. In normal cases, they have the opportunity to go to the World Cup and gain experience after JVM, says Mattias Nilsson.
- We made an exception with William. He has held a very high level, he is last year's junior and this is the chance that exists., Most recently in the Scandinavian Cup.
Mattias Nilsson points out that Poromaa's big goal is still JVM and that the competitions in Nove Mesto are for routine.
- William is not taken out with any requirements to perform this weekend. He is taken out to gain experience and see and learn.
JVM is run in February / March in Oberwiesenthal in Germany.
