Spanish coach Pep Guardiola praised the Algerian star Riyad Mahrez, who has been continuing strong shows with Manchester City since the start of the season.

Mehrez scored two goals and provided a decisive pass in Manchester City's big victory over Aston Villa 6-1 on Sunday in the 22nd round of the Premier League matches.

The Algerian star raised its score to 9 goals this season, in addition to 13 assists in 28 games in all competitions.

Guardiola said after yesterday's game that Mehrez is shining remarkably this season, because he had more chances to participate than last season.

The Spanish coach confirmed that his 28-year-old Algerian has a strange advantage over the rest of the players. "He noticed his legs, it is impossible to get injured because he does not have any muscles, he has special abilities in the last third of the field," he said.
