Spaniard Xavi Hernandez, the coach of the Qatari Al-Sadd team, confirmed that he dreamed of training his former team Barcelona, but stressed his commitment to his current team and focus with him greatly.
Xavi led Al Sadd to a big victory over Al Rayyan 4-1 in the Qatar Cup semi-final, to qualify to face Al-Duhail in the final match scheduled for this 17th.
"I cannot hide my dream of coaching Barcelona, but now I am focusing with Al Sadd, and I am happy with what I have achieved with the team," Xavi said in comments during the press conference.
"I do not deny that I met Barcelona club officials, but they came to Doha in order to check on the injured team player, Osman Dembli, and I talked to them on many issues."
"I have a good relationship with Valverde, I do not want to go into much about the issue of Barcelona negotiations, especially with the presence of an important match against Al-Duhail in the final of the Qatar Cup."
On his readiness to train Barcelona, he said, "Yes, I am ready to train Barcelona, and since I took charge of Al Sadd training, I was ready to train any team."
