Oscar Klefbom started the goal shooter when Edmonton defeated Toronto. But it was Connor McDavid who stole the headlines.

McDavid got an assist to Klefbom's goal, and that was just the start of the Canadian night. When the final signal in Toronto sounded, he had scored for four points, three assists and one goal.

- It feels really good. We've never won in this arena as long as I've played on the team, said the match hero, who himself grew up a little outside Toronto but never scored an NHL goal in Toronto before.

The captain was honored after the match

McDavid, on the other hand, won JVM in Toronto, and had his family on the stands during Monday's match.

"I've had success here in other tournaments, but never in the NHL, so it was fun to get it in," he said in the dressing room.

McDavid was praised by his team after the match, but also by the opponents.

"He is the most dangerous player in the world for a reason, so when we just let him fly past us in the middle zone with the speed and skill he has, we had to pay for it," Toronto's Auston Matthews told nhl.com.

In the home team Pierre Engvall was scored for a goal and an assist.
