The Algerian national football team, the Egyptian Mohamed Salah, the Liverpool star, and Al Hilal Saudi Club, were crowned the best awards of 2019, from the fifth edition of the Arab Federation for Sports Press referendum.

101 athletes from all Arab countries participated in the referendum, which was organized in coordination with the Arab Football Federation.

And Algeria won the African Nations Cup champion, which was held last year in Egypt, the award for the best team with 810 points, ahead of Qatar, the Asian champions, and Bahrain, the Gulf Cup champion.

Salah won the award for best player after collecting 510 points, ahead of the Algerian Riyad Mahrez, Manchester City star who got 432 points, while Moroccan Hakim Ziyash, Ajax Dutch star, finished third with 86 points.

The award for the best club of the Saudi Al Hilal team, the AFC Champions League champion, returned after collecting 720 points, beating Tunisia's Esperance Sports, the African Champions League champion, and Zamalek, the Egyptian Confederation Cup champion.

The Arab Federation announced that it will later choose the most influential Arab sports personality during the year 2019, and that announcing the date of the celebration and honoring the winners will be within the next few days.
